Boosting Frontline Health Services

The Palaszczuk Labor Government has rebuilt frontline health services since they were decimated by the Newman-Frecklington LNP government. Since 2015, we’ve hired 2,450 more doctors, 7,358 more nurses and midwives, 2,025 more health professionals, and 812 more paramedics throughout Queensland.

Five years on, bolstered frontline services have kept Queenslanders safe from COVID. It’s thanks to those services that Queensland businesses are open and Queenslanders are back at work. Queensland’s health system is the envy of the world and I couldn’t be more proud of our hardworking health heroes.

We will continue to strengthen our public hospital and health system and employ more doctors, nurses, midwives, paramedics and health professionals to deliver better healthcare for all Queenslanders regardless of where they live.
