Local Schools Local Jobs

Every young person deserves a world class education and the chance to reach their full potential.

This includes equipping students with the skills and knowledge they need to move confidently into the world of work. This is more important than ever now as we unite and recover from COVID-19.

As we deliver our $8 billion plan for economic recovery and job creation, we want to ensure young people have the right skills for our regional economies to recover and grow.

To meet this need, we are committing $45 million to build and upgrade training facilities in schools across the state to prepare students with the skills to secure well-paid, secure jobs in their region, setting them up for the future.
